AT-PD provided full preconstruction and project management for 160,000 SF multistory mission critical data center from conception through commissioning. Led client in building their very first base isolated, dampened, multistory data center and new substation in Silicon Valley. The project included a fully base isolated steel and concrete structure, tier III+ plus concurrently maintainable data center, and leading technology mechanical system and full electrical system buildout with supporting new substation build.

Our team provided greenfield design of LEED-certified 70,000 SF steel and precast data center, 30,000 SF “data hall,” critical infrastructure and offices. Innovations included 7,500kW critical IT power, HVAC via outside air and evaporative cooling, supplemental direct-expansion cooling and design of hot/cold aisle containment.

EQUINIX Various Projects and US Locations 1.1M+ SF Data Centers and Support Space
We provided project management services for over $630M in greenfield construction and renovations of 1.1M SF Tier III+ colocation. This included over 100 UPSs, static and rotary, 55 generators, and various HVAC topologies. Design included 25MW of total power, 18MW of critical power, parallel path designs for 5,000-ton chilled water plant utilizing pre- packaged modular chiller plant, full air side economizer air handling solution and an alternate, proprietary, refrigerant based cooling system.

Preconstruction/ Due Diligence services for the for a Tier-3- compliant Data Center planned for 1,000 kW, in-row cooling solution, expected average PUE for this facility will be approximately 1.55. Colocation Build Turnkey - Design and construction management for $1.4 M. tenant improvement of a 5,000 SF colocation facility. Included electrical distribution and technology infrastructure to accommodate 80 cabinets. High- density deployment with design to 21 kW per rack. 1.2 MW total. Tier-3 Upgrade - Turnkey of $2.3 M upgrade of existing facility to Tier III, addition of UPS and 2.0 Mg generator to bring 5 MW to 20,000 SF data center to Tier III reliability.

SEAGATE Fremont, CA 450,000 SF Campus, LEEDGold
ATPD provided Project Management, master planning, and design oversight for relocation of Seagate into this existing 450,000 SF campus. Scope include tenant improvements to accommodate a headcount of 500 with expansion capability to 900, plus the associated labs, clean rooms, etc. The facility deployed an advanced water reclamation system and use of solar power. The project achieved LEED Gold certification. The 23 acre site facility includes workspaces, labs, warehouse, prototype manufacturing and includes classified clean room spaces on a custom raised floor allowing for extensive under floor utilities distribution. Most of the occupied space is on the first level, and the second level houses support infrastructure including electrical distribution, air handling units and technology support.

640,000 SF Data Centers, Clean Rooms, and Manufacturing For over a decade, members of our team have provided services for a variety of projects for Lumentum (formerly JDSU) in the United States and internationally totaling over 640k SF. Projects have ranged from class 100 clean rooms, manufacturing facilities, and office spaces to data centers and server rooms. Locations include San Jose, Colorado, Scotland, Beijing, Malaysia, Singapore, Slovenia, Thailand, India, and Brazil.

We provided project management for delivery of the $350M Mac Pro plant, which was completed in eight months. This included design and constructionof the manufacturing space from raw materials to automated packaging/shipping and was part of the US initiative to revitalize manufacturing as represented in the 2014 Presidential State of the Union address.

The project is considered the first pilot M&V implementation facility and achieved LEED Gold.

The project is anticipated to begin construction in September 2017 with anticipated completion and occupancy scheduled for November 2019. The budget is estimated to be $68.6 million and completion on schedule.
