AlfaTech have completed 250,000 SF for Capital Group who are one of the world’s oldest and largest privately owned investment management company. This project had a lot of complex challenges adding an 8 story internal convenience stairs within and existing 57 story high rise, modifications to pressurization systems and base building smoke evacuation controls systems. Several enormous floor opening were provided between floor to bring a vibrant connected feel between difference user groups. A 4-story fully naturally vegetated green wall was eructated with a custom recirculatory irrigation and sophisticated leak detection system. A full UPS upgrade with A&B power redundancy across the north and south risers of the building was designed to support 16 IDF rooms from the main data center. A dedicated 24/7 chilled water riser was introduced with E-Power circulating pumps.
Custom controls sequences were designed to prevent stratification through the large floor openings via controllable dampers and differential space pressure sensors. This truly was an exciting project to be part of to push the design envelope.

Jerde Partnership moved its global headquarters to the CalEdison Building in Downtown Los Angeles formerly known as “One Bunker Hill” after nearly three decades spent on the sandy beaches of Venice.
The creative space is design to accommodate approximately 70 employees within its new headquarters located on the 5th floor of the CalEdison building, located at 601 W. Fifth Street at the corner of Grand Avenue, spans 277,000 square feet across 14 floors. The design provides warm inviting spaces that possess character that fits within the historic setting of the CalEdison building. The 2nd floor mezzanine space hosts model shops with state-of-the-art 3D printers and laser cutters with specialist exhaust requirements. The 5th floor space provides slowing open collaborative spaces, multifunctional flex spaces, conference rooms, private offices, lively pantries and private executive offices. AlfaTech provided MEP engineering services.

We were chosen to renovate 100,000 square feet of office space in the former Baxter Healthcare building in Westlake Village. The project was competed in a record of nine weeks. This was a fantastic team effort that was a monumental task and required several war room planning sessions to execute a project of this magnitude in record time. The project comprised of global trading rooms, MDF room, main server room, (5) IDF rooms, boardroom, executive suites, Network Operations Center, multiple staff breakrooms, private offices, conference rooms, open office spaces, 24/7 supplemental/after-hours cooling.

Goop is a natural health company owned by actress Gwyneth Paltrow. AlfaTech provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and technology design services for the tenant improvement of Goop’s new 80,000 SF headquarters which is located at the new Santa Monica Gateway Development. The project consists of executive offices, meeting rooms, open office space, hot yoga studio, (2) Full test kitchens, cosmetics laboratory, photo studio, R&D lab space (fume hoods, autoclaves, lab gas), QA space, showroom, Fashion area (Clothing rails, mock-up, seamstress), media walls, staff cafeteria, podcast studio, Edit Bays, IDF and main Server room. The program required extensive upgrades to the core and shell infrastructure to support the lab and kitchen requirements.

AlfaTech provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design services for the tenant improvements of two floors totaling 18,000 SF. Project consists of IDF and localized server rooms, reception area, open workspace, meeting rooms, event spaces, editing bays, screening rooms, pantry area, living area and a wellness room.

Gemdale USA Corporation is a real estate investment and development company headquartered in Pasadena, California, with additional offices in New York City and San Francisco. The company develops commercial, multifamily rental and for-sale residential projects, with multifamily rental and office either stand alone or mixed-use with retail. The company focuses on Class-A ground up developments in key gateway high-barrier to entry markets. The project comprised of executive office suites, conference rooms, private offices, huddle rooms, conference rooms, main boardroom, open plan work space and a beautiful reception and pantry area. AlfaTech provided MEP engineering services for this project.

The CENTRL Office is a collaborative, co-working space located at Brunswig Square which was built in 1931 as a warehouse for the Brunswig Drug Company in Downtown Los Angeles. CENTRL Office provides flexible, full-service office space for some of LA's leading entrepreneurs, free agents, startups, and work groups. AlfaTech provided MEP engineering design services for this project which included multiple shared offices per floor, private executive offices, huddle rooms, open office/bull pen spaces, conference rooms, break rooms, copy/print area, reception area and IDF closet.

Scooter Braun Projects is a diversified entertainment and media company with ventures integrating music, film, television, technology and philanthropy. Guided by the vision of founder Scott “Scooter” Braun (one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World), SB Projects combines creativity, the ability to engage global audiences, and an understanding of “what's next” to deliver innovative ideas as a leading architect of popular culture. Braun has a roster of the top pop culture icons under his management, record label, and publishing companies that include Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Ariana Grande, Usher, Karlie Kloss, Tori Kelly, Carly Rae Jepsen, The Black Eyed Peas, and Martin Garrix to name a few. The project was comprised of screening rooms, executive office suites, conference rooms, content creation suites, editorial and marketing offices, legal offices, open plan work space and an inviting reception area. FARFETCH NORTH AMERICA

When the global pioneering fashion brand Farfetch was in need of a new home in downtown Los Angeles at The BLOC, we duly stepped up to the task of creating an environment, integrating work, private shopping and event areas. The exponential growth of Farfetch had resulted in workspaces in their previous location that did not adequately represent the Farfetch brand identity. The rise of private shopping and entertaining within their global commercial spaces meant that Farfetch required a design scheme to unify their worldwide presence and bring their digital brand to life. Inspiration from the individual style that Farfetch curates and delivers to its global audience. Farfetch.com is where technology and fashion worlds collide, and the design team took references from both of these worlds to create and customize a design scheme that is as distinctive and stylish as both the Farfetch brand and its customers. The project consisted of an IDF Room, flexible seating cafe which can double as an event space with bleacher seating, conference rooms, high density workspaces, recreational areas and work rooms. This project is a true testament to teamwork with the speed and quality of the execution such a complex project. We provided MEP, Technology and Lighting services.

Niagara Bottling, LLC is a family owned manufacturer of bottled water and soft drinks based in Ontario, California. They produce private label bottled water for a number of companies including Wal-Mart and Costco. As of 2017 Niagara was the largest supplier of private label bottled water in America. Niagara looked towards creating a unique experience for their staff at their new Corporate Headquarters Campus. The scope of work comprised of a core and shell renovation and simultaneous TI of Bldg. 1 (182,000SF), R&D and QA Lab in Bldg. 2 (20,000 SF), site improvements (80,000 SF), 500kW Campus E-Power System and lighting, power and EV charging renovations to a (176,000 SF) parking structure. The Lab comprised of Analytical Rooms, Micro Rooms, Q/A Lab, Sample Storage Rooms, Cold Storage Rooms, R&D Lab and office space. The main office building included a full-service staff cafeteria with waste composting system, Executive Offices, Private offices, Tasting Lounge/Kitchen, Conference rooms, Open Office Space, 3 Story main reception lobby, flex spaces, games rooms, (6) IDF rooms and a Main Server/MDF room.

AlfaTech provided MEP and Technology Engineering Services for his high-rise building in center of West Hollywood. AlfaTech provided full design services for site, shell core and tenant improvements. Elegant workspace designed with exceptional attention to detail. Professional conference rooms and welcoming lounge areas, with phone booths, huddle space, and a wellness room. The projects were executed in a turnkey partnership with AlfaTech, Newmark Knight Frank PM Service, Mata Construction and IA Architects. AlfaTech provided MEP engineering design services for the Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood (19,000 SF) and Watt Plaza, Century City (41,000 SF) locations.

Brunswig Square is a 140,000 square foot office, retail, and restaurant space situated in Little Tokyo, on the edge of Downtown Los Angeles and the increasingly desirable Arts District. Built in 1931, the original 5-story Brunswig Drug Company building had 3-stories and street-level retail space were added in a 1986 renovation. AlfaTech provided MEP engineering service upgrades to the main electrical, plumbing and HVAC central plant infrastructure. We worked closely with Jamestown to study the target leasing market and create flexible MEP solutions and metering strategies within the office tower to suit. The building will be marketed to potential tenants in creative fields interested in joining the thriving scene of these flourishing Downtown L.A. neighborhoods.

The Southern California Gas Company is the primary provider of natural gas to Southern California. So-Cal Gas made a strategic decision to consolidate and relocate departments within their Monterey Park location. Overall this project location is a critical component to their business needs and the entire office was backed up by both UPS and generator power. A high level of coordination was required to identify co-dependent and intertwining existing MEP infrastructure serving the main data center and billing department which was mission critical to remain operational during the construction of this project. The project was comprised of conference rooms, private offices, huddle rooms, expansive open plan work space, interactive training rooms, multiple pantries, a main cafe/break room and cure restroom expansion. Features also included tech bench workstations for field ops employees with heavy power requirements. AlfaTech provided MEP engineering services for this project.

AlfaTech provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing/fire protection engineering design services for the design of this 48,000 SF space which will include restaurants, lounges and private studios and is envisioned to host fashion shows, photo-shoots, filming, concerts, awards shows and private parties. The space features a grand staircase and unique entryways that shall allow for multiple celebrations to take place simultaneously whilst maintain the privacy on each event. The existing building is a historic 2-Story + Basement concrete building built in 1931. AlfaTech have been part of the team to breath life into this iconic building that will be converted into (2) restaurants on the ground level that will include commercial and display cooking kitchens in addition to new public restrooms. The 2nd level will be a multi-function event space intended to house up to 500 occupants at maximum capacity. The space shall be mostly column free with refurbished skylights.

Instaco is a global fashion apparel company headquartered in Los Angeles that pushes the boundaries of fashion eCommerce by partnering with social media influencers to create lifestyle fashion brands that speak to the Millennial and Gen-Z consumers. This project was a tenant improvement of an existing tilt up space with an open floor plan concept that included a manufacturing facility, photography showroom, office spaces, a full-size kitchen and distribution warehouse with a full addition of AC cooling and heating unit. Design also included a lighting retrofit and plumbing upgrades.

Type: New Site, Two High-Rise Office Buildings Size: 420,000 SF
AlfaTech recently completed Uber’s innovative new sustainable San Francisco headquarters which is a ground up office building in the Mission Bay district. AlfaTech provided design/bid/build style Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering, lighting design, and Technology (low voltage, security, audio/visual) services, throughout the entire project. AlfaTech is part of the construction administration effort and served as the engineer-of-record for mechanical and electrical installations. AlfaTech assisted the architectural design team with optimizing performance by assessing various utility, façade and wind studies. Life- cycle cost analysis, energy benchmarking, and computational fluid dynamics were critical tools to inform the design effort. The project was designed as an innovative, ultra-high performance building that focuses on an occupant-centric workplace and includes an elaborate IT infrastructure, a façade that responds to programmatic needs, an under floor air distribution system, a two-building atria system incorporating natural ventilation, and a central treatment system for collecting graywater and rainwater. The interactions between the occupants, the buildings, and the ambient, were at the heart of the architectural and engineering systems; targeting lower environmental metrics of 1,100,000 kWh in reduced energy use and 2,100,000 gallons in reduced water use. AlfaTech provided engineering strategies and Smart Building System Matrix outlining all systems that should be included in the Intelligent Smart Building System.
The buildings' eco-friendly features consisted of: • Two passively conditioned, interconnected atria • Shaded facade with automated natural ventilation

AlfaTech (AT) provided comprehensive engineering and technology design for two 11-story high-rise buildings for Uber’s impressive new sustainable headquarters on the Chase Center campus. AT provided design services for full design, MEP, Technology, and lighting system design for the tenant improvements. These buildings were designed to foster creativity and innovation featuring both lively and quiet zones, a gym, terrace balconies, full-service two-floor kitchen / cafeteria, coffee and smoothie bars, and many other amenities for occupant comfort. Scope also included library, makers room, event lounge, conference center, training rooms, and retail space.

This project encompassed five floors and includes open office space with workstations, conference room, closed meeting spaces and micro kitchen, all gender restroom, a 6,000 sf café on the 4th floor and two kitchens (one hot and one cold) and new food storage and office in the basement.

As the world’s largest Internet professional networking site, LinkedIn has grown exponentially since its start in 2003. For the past several years, AlfaTech has provided services for many of their offices worldwide.
This 26-story tenant improvement project, is located in the heart of San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood at 222 Second Street. With this lease, LinkedIn brings together their R&D and sales teams, approximately 2,250 employees, under one roof. AlfaTech provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering, Low Voltage, Audio Visual design and LEED fundamental and enhanced commissioning services for this new ground-up project which includes extensive interior build-out of 20,000 sf of space dedicated to a contemporary kitchen, servery and seating as well as a state-of-the-art "All Hands" presentation room and complete Fitness Center, 2,209 sq. feet of ground retail, and two levels of subterranean parking.

AlfaTech is providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering and lighting design for the tenant improvements for 194,850 SF office for LinkedIn in Sunnyvale. Programming for the space includes first floor amenities such as 24,350 SF server, fitness center, tech talk/all-hands space and other public spaces. Two new IDF rooms in basement levels 1 and 2, and12 new Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS). Upper three floors will include typical office space for headcount of approximately 900, one breakroom per floor, new unisex restrooms, new guardrail at 2-story space, new janitors’ closets and mothers’ rooms.
Project is pursuing LEED Gold to LEED Platinum certification.

This campus consists of: three interconnected, six-story office buildings with two levels of podium parking on the ground totaling 752,100 SF; 25,000 SF cold core and shell café building with full service commercial kitchen with variable flow system; six-story parking garage; open and collaborative environment with furniture systems; private offices; software/light- hardware labs in buildings 1 and 2 totaling 36,000 SF; server room with cooling redundancy; fitness center and wellness center, 10,000 SF each, in office tower 1 on level 3.
The project achieved LEED Platinum as per the City requirements for tenant improvements to all buildings and was awarded design incentives provided by saving by design.

AlfaTech provided MEP design engineering and Technology services for this high- rise office TI project. Phase 1 of included the 14th floor for a total of 18,544 SF of open office workstations, meeting rooms, conference rooms, fitness center, IT rooms and support areas. Phase II encompassed floors 4 through 11 and the 15th floor for a total of 182,156 SF. The space including open office workstations, meeting rooms, conferences, IT rooms and support areas. Technology design services consisted of the 5th floor for a total of 20,000 SF of tenant improvements. Phase III consists of tenant improvements of full floors 16 & 17 plus half of floor 12 totaling 48,000 SF and the 24th floor totaling 8,600 SF including office workstations, meeting rooms, phone rooms, huddle rooms, and pantry/café.

AlfaTech is providing MEP engineering design services for the multiple phases of tenant improvements for Visa Metro Campus in Foster City. Buildings 1 and 2 each are12-story office buildings with attached 4-level parking garages. The design included several floors of office space, specialty rooms, restrooms, prayer rooms, meeting rooms, copy/work rooms and amenities spaces including a tech connection bar, 4,000 SF health/wellness center, cafeteria, and auditorium/lobby. There is an interconnecting staircase between the floors and a bridge connecting the two buildings. Services included mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering; fire protection design; technology design, lighting design and construction administration.
