AlfaTech provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and engineering, architectural, structural, civil engineering services for this corporate data center with raised floor air distribution with 125 watts per SF.
The Santa Clara SC9 Building project included full design and construction administration services necessary for construction of a new 50,000 SF raised floor data center facility with supporting spaces inside the existing 84,000 SF Savvis Building 12 space. The scope of work included meeting with Savvis personnel for programming of the spaces, and permitting with the City of Santa Clara. In general, the data center space supports approximately 120 watts per square foot gross area (6 MW total capacity) and is powered in 2 phases due to Silicon Valley Power source limitations. The project includes an N+1 design concept with chilled water and raised floor Computer Room Air Handling (CRAH) units providing the air conditioning. Electrical systems include exterior emergency power generation and UPS power systems.
This project included master planning, product development analysis, and schematic design documents of two four-story buildings including a new substation with three 50 MW transformer sections. IT was designed for a new 69 MW critical IT load data center project.

AlfaTech was hired to provide recommendations on current data center trends and technologies for incorporation into a new data center facility development in Northern China. The Tier 3 level data center was designed to accommodate six 2-MW critical load modules plus redundancy, for a total of 12 MW critical load. The goal was for a highly energy efficient data center with an annualized PUE of 1.4 or less. The estimated total load for the facility is 16.8 MW. As a result of AlfaTech led workshops, a basis of design and schematic level design documentation was created to serve as the guidelines for the local design and development team.
AlfaTech provided turn-key project management services for this project including design, management, equipment purchasing, construction and commissioning services. The project consisted of a three-story 50,000- square-foot data center, and supports up to 30 MW of electrical load on the site, with an initial ramp of 8mW of hydroelectric power .

The company provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering and technology design services, and construction administration for this interior fit data center to respond to the increasing demands of Singaporean-based markets and telecommunications customers. This data center was designed to support approximately 4 MW of IT capacity.
