The firm designed and documented an upgrade to this medical facility’s Building H-4 fire detection system.

The firm performed engineering design services for the remodel of clinical laboratory and pediatric unit. Project scope included a cafeteria expansion and renovations to the nurses’ lounge and workroom, nourishment station, medication area and office space. Full mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design.

Mechanical and electrical services were provided to upgrade hospital wing 4 West. A study of existing HVAC systems was performed to determine the best way to upgrade them to serve the additional load. Existing supply fan systems were upgraded with new variable frequency drives to replace inefficient inlet dampers for constant volume control.

The firm completed various projects for St. Mary’s including Mechanical and Electrical design for renovation of patient care areas; Mechanical & Electrical design for generator cooling system revision; Mechanical Engineering for medical air and vacuum projects and Mechanical and Electrical design of new central plant equipment.

The firm prepared mechanical and electrical construction documents involving the remodel of patient residential buildings to create double occupancy sleeping rooms. Work included upgrading of HVAC, electrical and fire and life safety systems.

AlfaTech provided engineering design services for the remodel conversion of an historic high school building into the state-of-the-art Dr. Ames Research Laboratory. The project included a large animal facility, labs, lab support, library, and offices. AlfaTech designed the HVAC, fume exhaust, building automation, and plumbing/process piping systems.
