AlfaTech Mission Critical Big Book

RESUME

DIGITAL REALITY, Santa Clara, CA – TARGET LEED SILVER Electrical Engineer for a two story raised floor data center space. The project includes addition of new generators, electrical rooms, and two floors of data center space. Mechanical design includes new Liebert DSE units, humidifiers, and make-up air units. Services provided include detail design layout of mechanical systems, LEED design, energy modeling, and lead construction management of mechanical design. CONFIDENTIAL DATA CENTER, Santa Clara, CA Electrical Engineer for new master planned core and shell data center facility on a 15 acre site. The facility will have an approximate floor area of 400,000 square feet and will be a two-story building with approximately 120,000 square feet of data center white space with an outdoor electrical equipment yard on the side of the building. The full design of the tenant improvements included design details to the extent required for Uptime certification. EQUINIX SV5, PHASE 2 and 3, San Jose, CA Electrical Engineer for Phase 2 design of the new Greenfield $150M data center building adjacent to an existing data center. The project includes 18MW of total power supporting 14MW of critical power. The project included parallel path designs for 5,000 ton chilled water plan utilizing pre-package modular chiller solution and full air side economizer air handling solution and an alternate, proprietary, refrigerant- based cooling system. Phase 3 scope of work included expansion of the existing building shell and installation of the remaining electrical bus distribution to achieve the full 18 MW capacity. Design and construction also included re-circuiting of entire site to re-use stranded electrical power from Phase 1. EQUINIX SV6 AND SV8, Santa Clara, CA Electrical design to provide updated electrical single line diagrams for the SV6 and SV8 facilities, based on existing documentation and field verification. SAVVIS, Singapore Electrical engineer for a data center interior fit out project. Project included approximately 3.6-4MW of IT capacity in an approximately 30,000 SF floor plate. Project also included ancillary office fit-outs for approximately 2,500 SF.

CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT, Santa Clara, CA Electrical due diligence services in support of an effort to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption in the CRAH units that serve the data center. This includes determining the feasibility of implementing the use of more efficient cooling equipment, which may take advantage of airside economizers, adiabatic cooling or other energy efficient measures. CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT, Various Sites across US On site review and detailed technical review and analysis of existing data center sites across the U.S. for investment firms engaged in acquiring data center sites. Evaluations included 1 Wilshire in Los Angeles as well as sites in Chicago, Irvine, Bay Area, and Dallas. INTEL SC2 DC RUPS, Santa Clara, CA Electrical design for the installation of two new static UPS systems and the relocation of data center feeders to these UPS’s. This relocation isolates the data center from the rest of the building and frees up capacity on the existing RUPS for new equipment.
