AlfaTech provided a data center audit and findings report to evaluate the critical systems that support their data center. The report was to help the client decide on the option to remediate the existing space, expand the space at the current location, build a new data center within the existing facility or move to a new facility. AlfaTech validated the current risks and limitations based on industry standards and Data Center “Best Practices.” This includes known risks and limitations associated with their current space, power, cooling, and network infrastructures.

AT has worked on numerous Tandem projects, providing mechanical and electrical design, and construction administration expertise. Services have ranged from local computer rooms to a corporate data center. As part of 60,000 SF project, all raised floor data centers were equipped with full redundancy and continuous, uninterrupted mechanical and electrical power. The mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system included a generator, chillers, and UPS. HP’s 200,000 SF international marketing facility features a major computer center with an uninterrupted power supply and emergency generator.

AlfaTech provided a mechanical, electrical and technology study for the proposed expansion of an existing data center in Sunnyvale from 5,000 SF to 10,000 SF, and for an existing data center in Roseville from 2,500 SF to 5,000 SF. This study concluded in a full Findings Report which is currently in evaluation pending start-up of the project.

AlfaTech was selected as a turnkey firm to design and build Facet’s 400,000 SF new headquarters campus in Redwood City, California in the US. This project includes a 4,000 SF raised floor data center. AlfaTech was fully responsibly for programming, design and construction of this state-of-the-art campus which the budget and schedule was guaranteed as a part of our highly successful single- source project delivery method.

FUJITSU ( FORMERLY AMDAHL) Santa Clara, CA

Type: Data Center & Building 21 Size: 112,000 SF, 70,000 SF data center

AT was Amdahl’s prime design consultant for 10 years. The firm has provided mechanical, electrical, structural, security, and voice/data at each of the company’s campuses. Building 21, a 2- story, raised floor data center, was the largest of its kind when it was built with 70,000 SF of 24” raised floor.
