People in the News & Welcome New 2019 Employees JANUARY Löwen Gruseck (Electrical Design Engineer) and Chris Cacha (Help Desk Technician) joined our San Francisco office. FEBRUARY Marjorie Bui (Marketing Coordinator) officially joined our San Jose office and Cory Frederickson (Design Engineer) joined our San Jose office. John Fithian (AT-PD Consultant) relocated to Los Angeles. MARCH James Teeter (Mechanical Design Engineer) and Donna Zhao (Mechanical Design Engineer) joined our Los Angeles office. Erik Elmtoft was recommended by the Chair of ASHRAE Standard Committee “Standard Method of Evaluating Zero Energy Building Performance” and will become a member of the committee.

New Relic San Francisco, CA

New Relic is an established, yet rapidly growing, San Francisco- based digital intelligence company. The company sought to capture its innovative culture with a unique office design while exploring new ways of working in anticipation of future density requirements. Moser Architects teamed with AlfaTech to provide this inspirational workspace for this new client. AlfaTech provided MEP design services for this tenant improvement project for floors 9 – 12 floors at 188 Spear, a premium corporate office building in the heart of SOMA in downtown San Francisco. The project includes: the remodel of open office areas; addition and modification of conference rooms; workstation densification; coffee bar modification with ventless equipment and outside vendor catering services; and review of potential expansion of 10th floor.

The AlfaTech team included TG Davallou, Erik Elmtoft, Jay Chokshi, Lori Lee, Robert Nixdorf, Cesar Rivera and Jaime Carrion.
