FIBROGEN, San Francisco, CA Project Manager for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process and fire protection Due Diligence assessment of all spaces in their current building. The building is a 234,249 SF six-story high-rise lab/office building with a café/kitchen on the 4th floor and basement levels of shared parking, as well as a vivarium. *BRISTOL-MEYERS SQUIBB, Redwood City, CA Principal in Charge for the design and installation of a chilled water system serving Autoclaves in the facility’s vivarium. LONGFELLOW REDWOOD SHORES AND PATC SPEC LAB, Redwood City, CA Principal-in-Charge for this project consisting of updates and fine-tuning of the MEP sections of the Bayshore and PATC Spec Lab Basis of Design document with details that further define system and equipment specifications for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems used on the campuses. LONGFELLOW STANDARD BACKUP GENERATOR, Redwood City, CA Principal-in-Charge for this project consisting of a study to identify the optimum solution for generator size based on cost benefit and then prepare a standard design package. Future scope would include site adaptation of the standard package to accommodate each building as generation capability is installed, as well as plan check and CA services for specific buildings. LONGFELLOW STANDBY POWER DESIGN, Redwood City, CA Principal-in-Charge for this project consisting of includes preparing standard design drawings that would be updated to install at a specific building in the future as buildings are identified (electrical and foundation pad). Work also included a design package for plan check and to provide CA services for this first installation. LONGFELLOW REAL ESTATE PARTNERS, San Francisco, CA Project Manager for this Due Diligence project of property including a large 760,000 SF office/lab building consisting of four buildings originally built for lab use and then converted to office by Dropbox. The goal was to determine the MEP scope of work necessary to return the building to Life Science lab use. LONGFELLOW REAL ESTATE PARTNERS, San Francisco Bay Area, CA Principal-in-Charge for a pre-acquisition due diligence for 1M SF of Office Buildings for conversion to Life Sciences. Scope included evaluation of existing conditions, development of MEP concepts for conversion of offices to lab/office split with various use ratios on a fast-track basis.

Terry Stelter is the Senior Principal in charge of the AlfaTech Consulting Engineer’s Life Sciences business unit. He has extensive experience with multi-disciplined teams for many high-profile clients in the Life Sciences industry. Terry's Life Science experience includes projects in R&D laboratories, pharmaceutical manufacturing, commercial buildings for life sciences clients, and campus infrastructure. He is well versed in cGMP requirements and design and construction standards required for FDA compliance. He has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries, with notable clients such as Genentech, Bayer, Johnson and Johnson, and Novartis.
