SUMMARY

Alex has extensive experience in the due diligence studies and engineering design of Plumbing & Fire Protection systems for commercial and industrial buildings, educational facilities, stadiums, laboratories, conference facilities and others. His experience includes design/build, design-assist, and the design of plumbing, water treatment, and fire protection systems.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

UBER MISSION BAY – NEW HEADQUARTERS, San Francisco, CA Lead Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer on this project for Uber’s new headquarters located in the Mission Bay district of San Francisco. The project consisted of two new high-rise buildings, a total of 420,000 SF. AlfaTech provided design services for initial master planning and building design. AlfaTech then provided full design, MEP, Technology, PV and fuel cell system design for the full shell/core and tenant improvements. This included administrative office space, full kitchen/cafeteria, and daycare and retail space. UBER UPTOWN STATION, Oakland, CA Lead Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer on this 520,000 SF project in Oakland, CA. Alfatech provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and technology engineering services for this high-rise building in the center of the City. AlfaTech provided full design services for site, shell/core and tenant improvements, which included central chiller plant and 12kv high voltage power distribution. ADI, Santa Clara, CA Lead Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer on this project to relocate the corporate headquarters into two warm shell buildings in Santa Clara Square. The project encompassed nine of the twelve floors, 345,000 SF. The design consisted of 280,000 SF of office space with amenities, various lab and specialty program spaces including: 40,000 SF of light electronic labs; 10,000 SF electronic test lab with Class 100,000 clean room; 700 SF of wet labs; 1,200 SF data center; 11,00 SF customer experience center; an executive board room; logistics / shipping / receiving area; and a raised 60 person auditorium. OKTA, San Jose, CA Lead Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer on this two-phase, high-rise office tenant improvement project. Phase 1 included the 14th floor for a total of 18,544 SF of open office workstations, meeting rooms, conference, IT and support areas. Phase 2 encompassed floors 4 through 11 and the 15th floor for a total of 182,156 SF. The space included open office workstations, meeting rooms, conference rooms IT and support areas. Technology design services consisted of the 5th floor for a total of 20,000 SF of tenant improvements.
