We ensured that the medical center met all the necessary standards and regulations while providing a safe and sterile environment for patients receiving oncology treatments. *KAISER PERMANENTE LOS ANGELES MEDICAL CENTER, ISOLATION ROOMS, Los Angles, CA Engineering design services for the Isolation Rooms project, dedicated to enhancing healthcare infrastructure within its Short Term Acute Care facility, which houses 560 staffed beds. As a voluntary nonprofit institution, the medical center is committed to bolstering patient care standards, particularly in response to infectious diseases. This initiative seeks engineering design services to develop state-of-the-art isolation rooms, ensuring patient safety, infection control, and medical staff well-being, further solidifying Kaiser Permanente's reputation as a leader in healthcare services. Nestled on 26 acres of the historic Camp Calvin B. Matthews, a former Marine Corps rifle range, this healthcare institution is a critical regional healthcare provider with 296 authorized beds and various specialized programs, including cardiovascular surgery and spinal cord injury. Piyush Patel has over 15 years of experience in the HVAC mechanical industry specializing in Management and Operations for hospitality, gaming, aviation, health care and commercial projects. He has experience leading project managers across multiple offices to achieve financial and project delivery objectives, managing project teams while achieving high client satisfaction, quality design and financial goals. During his engineering experience, Mr. Patel has worked as a designer, HVAC project design engineer, and project manager. As project consultant his primary duties include field investigations, HVAC load calculations using the California Administrative Code Title 24 energy compliance documents, design of HVAC systems, preparation of project specifications and cost estimates, performance of mechanical peer review, attendance at project meetings, construction meetings and project coordination.
