Tenant Improvement 12,743 SF

LEED Silver

The firm did pool renovations, landscaping, walkways, fencing, parking, and underground facilities for the old pool at the site, built in 1950, which was demolished to make way for the new facility. The park’s existing 5,377 SF indoor pool will be torn down and replaced with new 12,743 SF Olympic-size competition pool, a 2,550 SF lap pool, a 1,110 SF splash pool, a 1,100 SF senior's pool, three diving boards, shaded seating areas, and an exercise room. Also, there were improvements to landscaping, walkways, fencing, parking and underground facilities.

The new facility will be getting new changing rooms, restrooms, staff offices, storage and utility rooms, and mechanical room. Natural ventilation was used in much of the building to save energy. The building has LEED Silver Certification.

The $14.8-million center features the only Olympic-sized pool open to the public on Los Angeles County's Eastside. The funds for this project came from various sources such as Prop. 62, utility user tax, the vehicle license, and a general fund.
