AlfaTech provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design for the new Mabel Mattos Elementary School which is in the Milpitas Unified School District. The neighborhood is in Milpitas and serves 800 Prek-5 students. The new school is 63,500 SF and being built as a center for “22 nd century learning” with classrooms referred to as learning communities that support 96 to 120 students with four to five teachers leading a grade level. Phase 2 of this project encompassed three (3) new two-story buildings, classrooms C, D and E as well as a multi purpose/kitchen in building F and 30’x40’ lunch canopy. Services included HVAC, plumbing including site gas piping, electrical limited to power, lighting, site lighting and path of travel, fire alarm, clock paging system and IT data cabling and Title 24 for the MEP systems. AlfaTech also provided electrical engineering services for eight (8) 24’x40’ interim classroom portables Learning by Design Outstanding Project, 2021
