It is, to the author’s knowledge, the only high -rise with a combined radiant panel & UFAD mechanical system. The passively conditioned atria set a precedent in the City of San Francisco for energy code compliance and help reap many LEED points. Drawing on its urge to revolutionize the transportation industry, Uber is pushing the frontier with its innovative headquarters. Honored as a WELL Platinum-rated project, the Uber Global Headquarters Mission Bay 3 & 4 project features massive outdoor terraces with sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay, maximized daylighting, low-emitting materials, a culinary program with produce from onsite gardens, and extensive wellness spaces. As a result, Uber’s new Global Headquarter buildings 3 and 4, along with adjacent Mission Bay 1 and 2 buildings, represent one of the most significant WELL-certified project portfolios worldwide and have set the path for the next generation of healthy buildings.
