A complete infrastructure review and analysis was provided for the hospital mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and medical gas systems. Engineering documents for the proposed new NICU were reviewed for compatibility with the existing infrastructure, code compliance and constructability. The report addressed current infrastructure characteristics and ability to meet current and future load demands, and recommendations to improve operating efficiencies and take advantage of energy conservation opportunities. ST. FRANCIS MEDICAL CENTER Santa Monica, CA Type: Brachytherapy Unit Services included an engineering study to convert a surgery suite into a brachytherapy unit.

The firm completed various projects for St. Mary’s including Mechanical and Electrical design for renovation of patient care areas; Generator upgrade for Mechanical & Electrical design for generator cooling system revision; Mechanical Engineering for medical air and vacuum projects and Mechanical and Electrical design of new central plant equipment.

ST. MARY’S HOSP ITAL 4 West Alterations San Francisco, CA Type: Hospital Size: 12,000 SF

The firm performed engineering design services for this Mechanical and electrical services were provided to upgrade hospital wing. A study of existing HVAC systems was performed to determine the best way to upgrade them to serve the additional load. Existing supply fan systems were upgraded with new variable frequency drives to replace inefficient inlet dampers for constant volume control.
