AlfaTech is providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering as well as technology (low voltage and audio visual) design for phase 2, floors 4 and 5 at 650 Townsend. The space is expected to be built-out primarily as open-plan office space, comprised of workstation systems, conference, project, and huddle rooms, phone rooms, open collaboration areas, pantries, mother’s rooms, and unisex toilets & bathrooms. In addition, some conference and other rooms will also be “listing rooms”, which are intensively designed rooms that recreate to the extent possible, the interior of actual Airbnb listings inclusive of their finishes, furniture, and fixtures. The technology design included the design of the Low Voltage cable plant for the facility, pathway systems for the distribution of the structured cabling infrastructure, design of the MDF and IDF rooms to support all IT infrastructure and owner provided equipment, coordination of Telco and Network connectivity for other building systems including BMS, MEP, Security and Life Safety systems, and design of the Audiovisual systems for the facility.
