This project comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design services for the ground-up construction of the award-winning Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, a 2.5+ million square foot all-inclusive resort in Grapevine, TX. The team engineered highly complex MEP systems to support 1,511 guestrooms and suites, a 600,000 SF event and convention space including a 180,000 SF exhibition hall, five ballrooms, and 70 breakout rooms. Special attention was given to the design of the resort’s iconic 4 -acre indoor garden atrium, ensuring optimal climate control and air quality within this unique environment. The project also included outdoor event lawns, swimming pools, and a full-service spa, each requiring tailored engineering solutions. Using integrated energy-efficient HVAC systems, advanced lighting controls, and water-saving plumbing fixtures throughout the property to optimize operational performance and sustainability. Our collaborative approach with architects and contractors ensured seamless coordination, resulting in a world-class resort environment known for both luxury and functionality.
